Piacenza Intermodale was born at the end of the 90s, the product of an idea initiated by a group of entrepreneurs operating in transport and logistics.

The strategic aim of the company is to put resources and know-how together in order to create a competitive entrepreneurial reality in the field of Italian and European logistics.

In the years between 1998 and 2001 Piacenza Intermodale Spa sets up headquarters of about 10.000 sqm. for Piacenza Intermodale, its partners and other realities: an integrated logistic platform including an intermodal rail terminal and warehouses.

From 2001 to 2006 Piacenza Intermodale works on developing the integrated logistic platform.

In 2007 Terminal Piacenza Intermodale is created, a company which is under the control of Piacenza Intermodale Spa and runs the intermodal business of the terminal.
